String of Pearls

String of Pearls also known as Senecio Rowleyanus, is a flowering plant in the daisy family Asteraceae. It is a creeping, perennial, succulent vine native to the Cape Provinces of South Africa. In its natural environment, its stems trail on the ground, rooting where they touch and form dense mats.

Each plant is unique; size and shape fluctuate by season so all measurements are shown as a range. Plants arrive in a nursery grow pot without the cover pot.

Pot Size: 15cm

Light:
Thrives in bright indirect light. Can benefit from a few hours of direct sun. Not suited for low light conditions.

Water:
Water every 1-2 weeks, allowing soil to dry out between waterings. Expect to water more often in brighter light and less often in lower light. This trailing plant is a succulent! Only water when potting mix is bone dry.

• Wrinkling leaves, dry potting mix: Thirsty plant, underwatered
• Mushy stems, wet potting mix: Root rot, overwatered
• Leaf drop: Low light, moisture-stress
